Bailey Jean Smith

Bailey Jean Smith began training at Utah Dance Artists in Draper, Utah at age 12 under Jenn Freeman and Chelsea Thedinga. What started as early dance training evolved into over a decade of rigorous study across contemporary, ballet, hip-hop, ballroom, aerial work, tap, and musical theatre.

At 18, she joined the Hubbard Street Pro Professional Training Program in Chicago, studying under Alexandra Wells and Johnathan Alsberry. She performed in Hubbard Street's Season 41 Fall Series at the Harris Theatre, one of the country's premier contemporary dance stages.

Now pursuing her BFA in Music Dance Theatre at Brigham Young University (2022-2026), Bailey studies acting with Adam Houghton, David Morgan, and Stephanie Breinholt, singing with Rob Moffat and Korianne Johnson, and dance with Alexandra Wells and Keely Song. She has performed across stages in Provo, Salt Lake City, New York, Chicago, and Kalamazoo, including roles as Ilona Ritter in "She Loves Me" and dual roles (Beulah & Deloris) in "Come From Away."

A singer ranging from 1st alto to 1st soprano, fluent in German, and trained in IPA accents and dialects, Bailey is as versatile as she is committed.
